Pre Opening night Magic Basketball and predictions

The Magic open up the season at Home in the no longer named "TD Waterhouse" newly named "Ginn Arena" tonight against the young and talented Chicago Bulls. What does this mean for the Magic? Probably a 0-1 start to the season (The "G" isn't pronounced like a "J")
Last night, the Bulls went into Miami and raped the heat unmercifully and left them naked in the street. 108 to 66. Oh Man did the Heat look old. One thing is for sure. The Bulls are really deep and Shaq doesn't get into playing shape until after the All-Star Break.
Unto the Magic, there a young team that looks promising. We say that every year. Why should this year going to be any different?

I believe we will see Howard grow into a man this year. He will no longer be the softie we've seen the last 2 years. I believe he will finally have an attitude and take over games the way we've all been hoping for. It wont his point production the will increase to much but his defensive presents. Throw in "The human light poll" Darko Milicic and we've got a blocking and rebounding Machine.

Jameer Nelson by the way will be our leading scorer this year and also lead the team in assists. I can see him being an 18 to 20 point 8 assist guy per night. Now let's add in Carlos Arroyo he's the PR savior for basketball and man this kid is just as good as Jameer is he won't get the playing time Jameer gets. But I am going to love watching them play on the court at the same time.

Now Grant Hilll..... Well, he's going to get hurt so why even bother wasting my breath? He's going to get hurt during the 2nd quarter of tonight's game. After scoring 11 points in the first quarter. Oh don't worry he'll be back in 3 weeks. But he'll be out again for 4 months after that.
This is where Ariza picks comes into play. I think he's got a decent shot at putting up numbers like Mr. Shawn Marion...... OK OK over exaggerated a little bit. Cut Marions numbers in half and you have Ariza, now that's more like it. He's going to be good. We'll see glimpses this season.
Now Turkoglu if this guy can plays D like he did at the end of last season. It will show in our record how he's playing.

The bench... well, in my opinion it's decent. Technically Darko is on the bench but it wont be more then 10 games before he's starting and if he's not starting its because Brian Hill hasn't changed and he's still the hard head that we fired him the first time for. I mentioned Arroyo, Dooling is really fast. He's a bit streaky and inconsistent. Battie will be solid off the bench. He does the things on the court that don't show up in stats.

Bogans, poor mans Deshawn Stevenson. He won't get but 10 min a game. Garrity... Man I hate this guy! Why does BHill play him? I swear he's blackmailed Brian somehow.
JJ Redick. This guy has really had a string of horrible luck since he's been drafted. It's not his fault though. It's the curse of the Magic Franchise. He's not even close to playing shape; he's way behind because of injuries. We really won't get to see him play until the 2nd half of the season and it won't be a whole lot either because Mr. Hill doesn't play his rookie's.
If were lucky he might be some Playing Time next year if Hill hasn't brought his head out of his butt by then.

My predictions:
Tonights opening game Bulls 98 Magic 92. Dwight Howard 22 points 18 rebounds
Season - 46 wins 36 loses 5 or 6 seed, out in the first round of the playoffs against the Bulls
