Big news last week in Orlando, Magic sign Rashard Lewis to a Maximum contract worth over 110 Million over a 6 year guaranteed contract.
The very next day Dwight Howard signs a 5 year extension worth 85 Million dollars. If anyone has ever said Magic owner Rich Devoss was cheap. I don’t see how, and he has never been. Those Grant Hill and T-Mac contracts were 90 million each.
Otis has been taking a lot of hate on this Lewis signing. I don’t understand fans sometimes. Lewis is going to be a great fit for Orlando. That will leave Lewis, Hedo, and JJ camping the 3 point line. Every team is in big trouble. If Dwight Howard doesn’t get double teamed he will score all over you. If you double team Dwight you're leaving someone open, and those shooters will just bury any team.
This move will leave Darko out of Orlando and I don't think this is as bad as everyone thinks. Personally I think Darko is a unmotivated player who has a ton of talent, but becuase he's lazy and expects everyone to hand him everything he wont amount to much. If he's lucky he can become Big Z.
