Detroit Lions No. 2 pick - WR Calvin Johnson

The Detroit Lions have done it again! With the number 2 overall draft pick this year they have taken another WR 4 times in 5 years they have done it with there first round pick. How many of those WR's have actually made an impact? Only 1.... Roy Williams He's a 6'-3" 211 LBS. WR. Now they have added a 6'-4" 237 LBS WR. I know I've said this before but I think the Lions actually did it right this time. Calvin Johnson is an instant impact player. We might as well put him in the hall of fame right now. We've just drafted Terrell Owens type talent.

The Lions addressed several needs as well in this draft they needed some big time help in the secondary and they drafted a ton of CB's and a Safety from Boise State Gerald Alexander. Surely with all those DB's 1 or 2 of them would be decent right? They also took a DE in the 3rd round and you can never have enough Defensive Lineman.

To make things better they traded WR Mike Williams one of the 4 first rounder along with QB Josh McNown to the Raiders.

I have to say I am very excited about this draft. So once again I will go into the beginning of the season very excited and actually think they are about to turn things around. I will also buy the Newest Madden Video game this year. Then once the regular season starts reality will set in after the Lions go 0-6. It's going to happen, we all know it, and you can take it to the bank. .
